The Satanic Circle is an organization of Satanists and non-Satanists dedicated to maintaining equal representation in our country and our government. We do not believe in a literal Satan, rather we as a non-theistic organization believe Satan is a symbol of rebellion against the oppression of ourselves and others.
America over the last few generations has become more diverse and secular than ever before, which has reduced the influence and power of the wealthy, hateful religious organizations that have controlled the political system. Because of this cultural shift, billionaire-funded hate groups like Turning Point USA and the Heritage Foundation are actively forcing the Ten Commandments into public schools, erasing LGBTQ+ people and history from schools, and restricting the rights of cisgender and and transgender women to their bodily autonomy. Christian nationalism is at the heart of this hateful and fascist campaign and we are working to fight against it.
We work to create communities for Satanists across college campuses and other spaces across the country, while demanding Satanic representation in local and national government. While our organization mainly represents Satanists, we welcome everyone who supports religious equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and the right to bodily automomy into our organization and communities.

What is Satanism?
We do not believe in a literal Satan. Instead, Satan is a metaphor for rebellion against tyranny and blind faith, while promoting personal liberty and equality. We also do not engage in sacrifices, nor do we harm children, as these claims are stereotypes pushed by the Church to scare their members away from outsiders.
In Satanism, instead of worshipping a god, Satanists will engage in self-worship. When a Satanist says "Hail Satan," they are saying "hail me" or "hail thyself," as we identify with the character of Satan. As part of their self-worship, they will practice self-care, while supporting those they believe deserve it, while refusing to waste their kindness and time on those who do not.
The terms "Satanist" or "devil worshipper" were invented by the Church to insult their own members, as Christians tend to view the character of Satan as the worst being in the universe. Many Satanists originated as Christians, and were commonly labeled as "devil worshippers" for identifying as LGBTQ+, or for simply not having the same beliefs. This has resulted in groups like ours leaving Christianity, while taking back the term "Satanist" and the mascot of Satan as symbols of rebellion, all while being more progressive than the churches we left.

WE SUPPORT THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY
Unlike many organized religions, we support every sexuality and gender-identity. We believe that everyone should be who they are without shame. We believe everyone the right to exist, use the bathroom that matches their gender-identity, and freely engage in sexual activity with other consenting adults.
Since identifying as LGBTQ+ has lead to churches shaming, harassing and shunning their members, you will often find members of the LGBTQ+ community in Satanism.
WE MUST MAINTAIN THE SEPARATION OF CHURCH & STATE
Even America's founders believed in the church-state separation, meaning churches cannot influence the work of public schools and the government, while the government cannot prioritze one religion over another.
However, billionaire-funded Christian nationalist groups are working to force the Ten Commandments onto public school walls, mandated Christian-only prayer, and restricting the rights of minorities across the country.
America must remain a secular, pluralistic nation to ensure everyone is represented and treated equally.
WE ENGAGE IN PROGRESSIVE ACTIVISM
Since we believe we are the gods of this world, it is our responsibility to maintain it. Progressive Satanists often engage in 'good trouble' to maintain equal representation, protect nature from pollution and litter, and prevent the rise and growth of fascism.
We say "Satan is our best weapon against fascism" because Satanism, like Christianity, is a protected religion. We have deeply-held beliefs that cannot be discriminated against by public institutions in America. Satanic symbols are very powerful, causing many politicians to rethink the combination of church and state, once Satanists start demanding the same rights to give invocations and build religious displays.
WE DEMAND ACCESS TO ABORTION
We believe heavily in Order III "Bodily autonomy is sacred—violate it at your own peril".
Women must have easy access to abortion whenever they want. No one has the right to dictate what people choose to do with their own bodies.
WE SUPPORT FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION
We believe that everyone, including Satanists, must have the right to express themselves through style. Whether someone wants to dye/restyle their hair, get a tattoo, get a piercings, wear a face mask, wear a hoodies, and/or something else, they should be able to express themself through harmless means.
WE MUST PROTECT FREEDOM OF SEXUALITY
Christian nationalist organizations have fought to ban same-sex relationships and sexual activity among consenting adults, in order to shame and control their people. However, we as Satanists believe in embracing our sexuality and releasing our desires in safe, consensual ways, all without fear or shame.

How many members are in this group?
We will not give a specific number for privacy reasons. However, we are growing every day and have members in several countries across the world.
Do I have to be a Satanist to join?
No. Whether or not you identify as a Satanist, you are welcome to join if you support equal representation and the right to bodily autonomy.
What are the benefits of joining?
Becoming a member gives you notifications about community events, protests, group rituals, and more. You also get to be a part of our growing community of Satanists and anti-fascist activists, who are working to learn about themselves and support the world around them.
Are there any age-restrictions?
You must be 13+ years old to join The Satanic Circle. However, some of our events may restrict teens from participating for safety reasons.
Who will know I am a member?
Your data is safe with us and Fourthwall (our web host,) as we refuse to share our member list, even with partnered organizations.
