The unbaptism ritual is designed to celebrate and free thyself from the chains of religious trauma. To be clear, this is not a binding religious contract. Instead, this ritual is also designed to destroy any stigma or shame forced onto you by said religion. You all may modify the ritual as seen fit. This version of the ritual is conducted in a group setting.
OBTAIN THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
- 1 Hoodie or robe
- 1 Candle
- 1 Fire-safe bowl or container
- 1 Mirror
- 1 Glass of water
- (OPTIONAL) 1 Baptism certificate
- (OPTIONAL) 1 Satanic symbol or personal sigil
ASSIGN THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
- Ritual Leader
- Participant(s)
RITUAL STEPS:
- Have participant(s) put on their hoodie(s) or robe(s) and dim all the lights in the ritual space.
- Light candles and get everyone into a relaxed state.
- The ritual leader will ask the following: "DO YOU REJECT THE WATERS POURED ONTO YOU WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT?"
- The participant(s) will respond: "YES."
- The ritual leader will ask: "DO YOU RECLAIM YOUR NAME AND BREAK YOUR CHAINS OF FORCED BELIEF?"
- (OPTIONAL) The participant(s) will crumble up their baptism certificate and set it on fire inside the fire-safe bowl or container.
- Participant(s) will take a deep breath, then the ritual leader will ask: "DO YOU REJECT YOUR GUILT?
- The participant(s) will respond: "YES."
- The ritual leader will then ask: "DO YOU REJECT THE FALSE PROMISES OF SALVATION?"
- The ritual leader will ask the participant(s) to repeat: "I RECLAIM MY POWER AND REJECT ANY GODS PLACED ABOVE ME."
- The ritual leader will then ask the participant(s) to repeat: "I AM MY OWN GOD. I AM MY OWN SAVIOR. I AM MY OWN GOD FROM NOW ON."
- Everyone will raise their glasses and drink. Then the ritual leader will ask the participant(s) to repeat: "I AM UNBAPTIZED, UNCHAINED, UNBOUND."
- Extinguish the candle.
- The ritual leader will recite: "It is done, Hail Satan!" before asking everyone remove their hoodies or robes.
- (OPTIONAL) Allow the participant(s) to place the ashes of their baptism certificates into a small container for each to keep as a trophy.
