Before we start, we want to make clear that we are a pro-choice, pro-bodily autonomy movement that supports the right to choose solely for the pregnant individual alone. No politician, partner, or stranger has the right to dictate anyone else's bodily autonomy.

If you are visiting this site, you likely saw one of our posters outside a specific clinic. This may be because a member or supporter of our organization placed it there as a warning to those in desperate need of an abortion. Crisis Pregnancy Centers are fake abortion clinics run by churches, designed to trick women into entering, only to shame them and share their personal medical data with other entities (as they are not legally-bound by HIPPA.)

REMEMBER: Even if a clinic appears in search results, has the word "choice" in their name, or has pages discussing abortion, it can still be a fake abortion clinic if you do not know the signs:

Have they explicitly told you that they offer abortions?

Crisis Pregnancy Centers will always be vague about whether or not they offer abortions, from not specifiying on their site, to not answering over the phone. If you safely can, call them over the phone and ask them if they offer abortions. If they tell you that it must be an in-person discussion, or give you any answer other than a "yes," then they are likely a fake abortion clinic.

Who is running the clinic?

Crisis Pregnancy Centers are often run by churches and religious organizations, so if you see a clinic with any connections to said organizations, then they are likely a fake abortion clinic. Always research who is running the clinic, including their stances on abortions (and women's rights in general.)

Do they offer "abortion pill reversal?"

To be clear, there is no such thing as an "abortion pill reversal." Many Crisis Pregnancy Centers will place ads or promote the fake proceedure, while real abortion clinics will never promote unverified medical information.

Do they judge your decision-making?

Organizations like Planned Parenthood have trained their staff to ask if you are sure about your decision, but they will never constantly ask you to clarify your decision, nor will they try to change or judge your decision.

Do they present you with obvious medical misinformation?

Crisis Pregnancy Centers have been caught spreading terrifying and insane misinformation, from claiming that abortion increases the risk of suicide and breast cancer, which is completely untrue and has been disproven for decades.

Do they have signs everywhere for "free ultrasounds?"

Crisis Pregnancy Centers often use ultrasounds as bait to get women into their operating van or building. They will often point to the fetus that their ultrasound detects, constantly directing your attention to the screen to guilt-trip you into changing your mind about the abortion. If you notice constant ads and pressure to get a free ultrasound, then you are likely at a fake abortion clinic.
